Women’s Division 2026-27
The 2026-27 package is $7,275 pre-HST for 22 regular-season games and 2–8 playoff games in a double-elimination format, built around Wednesdays with no more than three Sundays. Each team will have no more than three 11:00 p.m. or later starts, and average start time will stay within 10% of the Women’s League average.

A candid note on the transition
Ottawa Rec Hockey is now responsible for operating and growing the league, but it does not own or operate the facilities. The economic and operating model therefore differs from prior seasons.
Women’s captains were clear about the value of a dependable Wednesday pattern and the difficulty created by too many Sundays. The revised package now includes that Wednesday pattern and no more than three Sundays.
The package and price are set. The exact ice, dates, facilities and start times will follow once the final allocation is complete.

The Women’s package is built around Wednesdays, with no more than three Sundays, no more than three 11:00 p.m. or later starts and average start time within 10% of the Women’s League average. September 23, 2026 is the expected season start while exact allocation is completed.
Optional scheduling request
The block on starts at 11:00 p.m. or later for the full regular season may be offered separately at $250 plus HST after league review and confirmed capacity. Other paid scheduling add-ons do not apply to Women’s or 35+ teams. Scheduling preferences are accommodated to the best of our ability. The final Women’s registration price is $7,275 pre-HST. It is an exclusive Women’s format with no city final. The weekday arrangements and late-start limits below are included in the package.
Confirmed package framework
Ottawa Rec Hockey can plan the league, but facility ownership and ice availability sit outside the league. The final ice allocation shapes exact dates and start times.
East and West will each have their own 2–8-game double-elimination playoff path and final, with no city championship or East-West playoff crossover. Participation and parity will shape team placement within East and West.

Thanksgiving, Remembrance Day and other blackout conflicts need to be collected before the schedule is built.
Captains still need a structured voice on playoff eligibility, exemptions, roster enforcement and related division rules.
Team counts and competitive fit will determine the final division alignment within East and West.
